PACIANO – We had planned 2020 as a year of renewal for Vacanze Ideali. We had new ideas, improvements to make the estate more beautiful and special activities to share the region with you. Then the coronavirus pandemic arrived, and we had to adapt to the rules in force. For the first time in almost 30 years, we switched off the lights that had lit up the estate every evening. Even in those difficult months, we kept working on the details we could improve.
VACANZE IDEALI STARTS AGAIN
We did not abandon our plans. We have a past to protect and a future to build. The latest figures for Umbria at the time gave us hope that the region might soon reach zero new infections.
That did not mean lowering our guard. We wanted to be ready to welcome guests when it became possible, with their health as our priority and measures to protect their bookings.

Summer voucher: At the time, we promised prospective and returning guests that, if their holiday was cancelled, their deposit would remain available as a voucher without an expiry date. This was a 2020 policy.
Physical distancing: Our accommodations had private outdoor space. Pool loungers were assigned to individual apartments, spaced according to the rules then in force and sanitised between guests. Both pools were treated with the recommended products; one was a saltwater pool.
